New Banner Ads for Your Site!

Good day!

For your convenience, participants and volunteers who want to create more web presence for the Sprint event can now add online web banner ads to their work or home website! At the bottom footer of the Spring Sprint page is a link called “Banner Ads” that will take you to http://www.braintumour.ca/braintumour.nsf/eng/Banners. These pre-designed banner ads with the html code can be copied and pasted directly to any webpage, blog, or Facebook/MySpace page. There is no need for editing or special technical skill; just paste and visitors will be directed to Spring Sprint!

I hope these ads will help increase our presence on the web. Let me know if there is anything else you need!

Thanks, Paul Mitchell (pmitchell@braintumour.ca).

Don’t get left out. Register today!

In the meantime, please take some time and review the blog entries from last year’s ( 2008 ) Spring Sprint program. News and updates from last year are all listed below and make for interesting reading. One more Sprint to go….

Montreal will be our last Sprint this upcoming Sunday and we look forward to being able to annouce a number of funds raised soon after this.  The program yet again has grown dramatically and we are so pleased with the success to date!  We have raised awareness throughout Canada brought out many walkers, runners and new and past participants and are so pleased to date!

Keep posted for Montreal’s news on Sunday and the goal overall of the program!!

Medicine Hat- First Sprint one to be proud of….

Jana Roose approached me a few months back about running a new Sprint in Medicine Hat- we added it to this years line up and are so pleased of Saturdays huge success.  Jana conquered the Sprint with no fear- recruited some FANTASTIC local sponsors and not only reached her goal of $10,000 yet will most likely double it!!!  The event to date has annouced a total of $18,000 and will still grow with a local school spelling bee added to this and additionals funds raised after the event.  Medicine Hat’s participants were all great and are already excited on being involved in making next years event a bigger event than this.

Special Thank you for Jana coming forward in not only achieving your goal yet creating a fantastic support network and sounding board for your community!!

Windsors SPORTSMEN CLUB event

Windsors Spring Sprint was a great day again in 2008.  With many walkers out, Melissa and her committee annouced a total of $43,000 raised for the 2008 event.  Special thanks to Melissa for the media attention which you obtained and the awareness you brought to Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada!  SportsMEN Club is not the same with this group around and we are lucky to have them.

Rui and Lucilia’s family is growing again and they will be stepping down as coordinators for 2009.  For anyone interested in joining the committee or taking the lead, please contact Sue at sruypers@braintumour.ca.  Special thank you to Lucilia, Rui and committee for a job well done!  Congratulations!
